Jackie DeShannon issued When You Walk In The Room in late 1963 as the B-side to Till You Say You’ll Be Mine. Neither side made the charts in the US. When You Walk In The Room was released a second time in the summer ’64, this time as the A-side. It peaked at #99 on Billboard’s Hot 100 but did not reach the Cash Box Top 100 at all.
This entry on Jackie DeShannon has been moved from this website to my new website, Rather Rare Records (ratherrarerecords.com). It has been completely rewritten and dramatically expanded. Ihave also changed the piece’s title to “when jackie deshannon walks in the room she’s got zest appeal.”
